The first time I started working with clay was in high school and to be honest, had lost all touch with it after that. In between the craziness that is life, when I needed it the most, pottery found me again.
To me, each piece I make is an expression of myself. I learn something new about myself each time. And I love to think that something I created - giving it a piece of myself, can be part of someone else’s life, part of their ritual. To remind them and me that life is in the quiet moments, when you actually notice the warmth of the mug, the flowers in the vase, the ritual of matcha, the lighting of candles and I find a deep sense of belonging in knowing I can be a part of that.
